Its completely clear from the two videos that the dog reacted only to external stimuli. He got out of dodge at the end of 37 seconds into 38 seconds. In the second video you see dust motes appear at 37 seconds to 38 seconds moving left to right across the screen. The dog simply had a quicker reaction than the man.
I hope he did run the right way, but obviously there was minimal danger (monitors and computers falling off desks I don’t consider dangerous). Good reactions dog!

I live in an earthquake prone area, and whether you believe that this particular dog was exhibiting a “six sense” or not (more likely just superior sesitivity), it is common knowledge that animals act strangely before seismic & other natural events. My dogs have woken me up barking frantically seconds before the earth starts shaking.
I grew up in the midwest & witnessed similar behavior before tornados (the family dog always hid under the bed, often minutes before the tornado warning siren sounded). Most of us have witnessed the eerie silence of birds before a major storm.
They are simply closer & more in tune with nature. Some people may be too – there was a report after the tsunami that a remote indigenous tribe (I don’t remember exactly where) had not lost a single member in the disaster – because they all headed to higher ground within plenty of time. They just “knew.”

Look at the small glass plate (the one to the right) in the short clip at the end. In it there is a reflection of a lamp (or something) that you can see begin to vibrate at 17:21:38, exactly when the dog in the first clip jumps up.
